Stone in the ureter ie. passage connecting Kidney with bladder. Stones are produced in the kidney and one or many stones slipped into the ureter. Usually based on clinical suspicion from the history and examination. Ultrasound may help in finding obstructed kidney and in some cases stones near kidney or bladder. CT KUB will give idea about exact location and size of stone and also how hard it is. Treatment for small stones is, usually pass with medications to relax the ureter. larger stones and stones near kidney will require ureteroscopy and stone removal or ESWL.
